Funding: National Observatory of Athens internal grant

Description: The main goal of the project is to address the long-standing shortcoming regarding the global air-quality effect on marine limitations and ocean carbon cycle. This project aims to develop beyond-state-of-the-art modelling tools to simulate the atmospheric nutrient-cycle coupled to the embedded ocean biogeochemistry model in EC-Earth, taking also into account present-day socioeconomic impact.

Role of APCG: PI – Coupled atmosphere-ocean climate simulations with the state-of-the-art European Earth System Model EC-Earth.
