In the frame of an EC Transition Facility funded project, support and counseling services to the Water Development Department (WDD) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment of Cyprus for the development of a monitoring programs and associated databases for the implementation of Article 8 of the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC (WFD) in Cyprus. Namely, management, monitoring, supervision and evaluation of the implementation of five WDD contracts (one service and 4 supply) by an IERSD scientist (Dr. Kotronarou) who assumed the role of project manager, assisted by a team of experts. The manager reported to and cooperated with a Steering Committee comprising members from WDD and various Cypriot agencies involved
