Description: Understanding and quantification of the atmospheric pollution sources and photochemical processes of air pollution in the greater area of Pireaus (emphasis on the port area). This prototype research builts upon existing knowledge and utilizes new technologies and measurements that will amplify the basic understanding. In parallel, the levels and the main sources (vehicle trafic, industrial transport, ships) of gaseous and aerosol pollution will be monitored and identified.
