Description: The project aims to capture the spatial and time distribution of NO2 in the Athens basin using MAX-DOAS measurements for the period 2012-2017. The precision and the range the of the measurements will be validated through comparison with in-situ measurements. The more thorough investigation of the pollutant’s spatial distribution will provide information on the sources of NO2 emissions, which in turn will be further corroborated by the COSMO-ART atmospheric model’s emission scenarios.
