PREVIEW, European Commission FP6 Integrated Project aimed at developing, on a European level, new geo-information services for natural and industrial risk management. Supporting European Civil Protection units ?local, regional, national and European authorities ? the project draws on the most advanced research and technological developments in Earth Observation. To reach this goal, a European team of major actors in risk management has been set up. This team gathered the technical skills and expertise of the scientific community, service operators, industrial companies and users, mainly Civil Protection Authorities from the member states. PREVIEW services have been validated under pre-operational conditions in 8 selected test sites around Europe. Partners: PREVIEW has been jointly developed by a consortium of 58 partners from 15 nations, gathering together a wide range of technical skills and key representatives in risk management: Research centres, Universities, Meteorological institutes, Industrial companies, Civil Protection units.
