LAMDA's Strategic Partnership with IERSD

LAMDA Development is opening a new, substantial chapter of cooperation with local communities, presenting new initiatives for environmental protection, addressing the climate crisis, and supporting vulnerable social groups, in collaboration with leading universities and scientific bodies in the country.

LAMDA’s initiatives, which were presented at an event at the Museum of Cycladic Art, are centered on improving the quality of life for residents of neighboring areas and protecting against the effects of climate change. In this context, LAMDA proceeded with strategic partnerships, among other distinguished organizations in the country, including the National Observatory of Athens.

In his speech, Dr. Evangelos Gerasopoulos, Director of the Institute for Environmental Research and Sustainable Development of the National Observatory of Athens, stated, among other things, that “LAMDA has partnered with the Institute for Environmental Research and Sustainable Development of the National Observatory of Athens, with the aim of studying the impacts of the Hellinikon project on the microclimate and biodiversity species of the area, as well as developing an early warning system for extreme weather phenomena in the Hellinikon and in areas of the neighboring Municipalities. Among other things, we are monitoring the long-term impact of the Hellinikon Metropolitan Park on local communities and the wider development area of the project.”
