Hydrological Data – Hydro-telemetric Services for Watercourses
We Measure to Know
Service Description and Applications:
Collection of high-quality hydro-environmental information, through the installation and operation of hydro-telemetric stations in significant streams and rivers across the country, particularly in Attica and Peloponnese, as well as through hydrometric measurements conducted by the working group. The service includes the provision of data from the network of automatic hydro-telemetric stations upon request. Additionally, support for hydrological-hydraulic studies and timely information on flood risk are provided.
The service is intended for:
✓ Public Services, Municipalities, other public bodies ✓ Scientific community ✓ Technical companies, mainly those involved in the construction/studies of hydraulic works and water resource management, as well as environmental study companies.
Methodologies and Tools Applied:
✓ Data quality control ✓ On-site measurements of the velocity field and assessment of the physical condition at the cross-sections of watercourses where measuring stations are installed ✓ Calculation of stage-discharge curves
