MICL is capable of calibrating the following instruments: thermometers (mercury and electronic) and thermographs, hygrometers and hygrographs, barometers, pyranometers, pyrheliometers, photometers, hot-wire anemometers, and rain gauges. Data collection and processing are carried out using high-precision systems and with the aid of computers.

The Laboratory has been organized according to the EN 45000 International Quality Assurance Standards. Calibrations are performed based on the best current scientific practice, ISO standards, the “ISO Guide on the expression of uncertainties,” as well as the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organization WMO-No 8 “Guide to meteorological instruments and methods of observations.”

Possessing its own calibrated equipment, the Laboratory is capable of performing specialized measurements on behalf of companies and organizations, both in the public and private sectors. Furthermore, it is able to offer technical support for the use of meteorological sensors and instruments, as well as consulting services during the process of both selecting and installing meteorological/radiometric equipment for other organizations.

Meteorological Instrument Calibration Laboratory The Meteorological Instrument Calibration Laboratory (MICL) has been operating since 1996, with a primary mission, among others, to provide calibration services for meteorological and radiometric instruments.
