and municipalities (in Greece and abroad) towards fossil fuel independence and energy transition to renewable energy sources, through the penetration of distributed photovoltaic systems on building roofs. Development of solar cadastre applications, as well as digital twins, to facilitate urban planning, support distribution managers of the generated green energy and its integration into smart electrical grids. Development of climate services concerning renewable energy sources in developing countries, to support decision-making regarding optimal use and application of RES. Use of modern technologies and tools for building regional resilience to climate change and investigation of the role of geospatial services in shaping energy transition and security policies.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Solar Cadastre<br\/><\/strong>Visualization of the solar energy potential that can be exploited by each urban building block, using photovoltaic systems installed on building roofs. This is an operational information platform based on the utilization of interdisciplinary data, operating both climatologically and in real-time. The ultimate goal is to facilitate urban planning, support distribution managers of the generated energy, and effective integration into smart electrical grids. More information: <a href=\"http:\/\/solea.gr\/athens-solar-cadastre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>http:\/\/solea.gr\/athens-solar-cadastre\/<\/strong><\/a>   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Provision of remote monitoring and forecasting data (\u00b16 hours) of distributed electricity generation from photovoltaic systems on a global scale<\/strong><br\/>Data is provided through the SOLEARTH service (<a href=\"https:\/\/solea.gr\/solearth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/solea.gr\/solearth\/<\/a>), using modern geobservation methods, constituting a targeted alternative for energy planning and management.
