Thermal simulations of buildings <\/div><p>Specialized studies for new high-energy-efficiency buildings and cost-effective energy upgrade actions for buildings, for E\/M installations and architectural offices. Evaluation of upgrade scenarios for residential and tertiary sector buildings.<\/p><div class=\"section-title\">02. Indoor environmental quality &#038; energy control<\/div><p>Assessment of indoor environment quality, monitoring of the energy performance of buildings and E\/M installations. Use of portable instruments for short-term measurements of indoor conditions (temperature, humidity) and use of a multi-analyzer for on-site measurements of temperature, lighting and air velocity. Qualitative assessment of the indoor environment (e.g. thermal comfort conditions and indoor air quality) using standardized questionnaires. Study of the indoor conditions prevailing in the building and the thermal comfort of the users.<\/p><div class=\"section-title\">03. Diagnostic inspections<\/div><p>Brief energy and diagnostic inspections of buildings and E\/M installations. Support in prioritization based on the cost-benefit assessment per intervention (e.g. maintenance, renovation or upgrade). Technical-economic analysis, according to European methodologies, and software for residential buildings (EPIQR), offices (TOBUS) and hotels (XENIOS). Overall assessment of the current condition and degree of deterioration of the building and its individual elements (shell and installations), taking into account their functional insufficiency due to age. Multi-criteria analysis for the evaluation of energy and natural resource saving potential, taking into account the quality of the indoor environment and environmental impacts. Brief initial assessment of energy efficiency and energy upgrade potential in residences, based on Greek building typologies.\n<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"goal\"><div class=\"number\">2<\/div><div class=\"content\"><div class=\"title\">Building Carbon Footprint Assessment &#038; Improvement\n<\/div><div class=\"line\"><\/div><p>Calculations of the carbon footprint from the construction and operation of buildings, as well as the life cycle of materials and facilities and evaluation of upgrade and decarbonization proposals. Use of SimaPro software and the EcoInvent database to calculate the embodied energy and carbon footprint of buildings during their life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials to the demolition and recycling of their construction materials, also taking into account their operational period. Evaluation of shell-facility upgrade scenarios.\n<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"goal\"><div class=\"number\">3<\/div><div class=\"content\"><div class=\"title\">Assessment &#038; Improvement of Building Sustainability and the Built Environment\n<\/div><div class=\"line\"><\/div><p>Calculations of sustainability and individual sustainability indicators of buildings-neighborhood-city-region. Application of the free CESBA MED methodology for sustainable cities. Support for municipalities and regional bodies in training technical staff for the use and adaptation of free tools at a local and regional scale\n<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"goal\"><div class=\"number\">4<\/div><div class=\"content\"><div class=\"title\">Evaluation of building stock upgrade scenarios on a medium (regional level) and large (national level) scale\n<\/div><div class=\"line\"><\/div><p>Support in the development of a strategy towards achieving long-term and medium-term targets for reducing emissions from the building stock at local and national level.
