CAREER

Georgios Grivas received a Chemical Engineering diploma from the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a doctoral degree from the Department of Chemical Sciences NTUA. He worked as research/teaching assistant at NTUA (2000-2012), was employed by the National Center for the Environment and Sustainable Development (2009-2010) and cooperated with the Laboratory of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics at the Medical School of Athens (2010-2011, 2013-2015). He joined IERSD/NOA in 2017, as a post-doctoral researcher on a national scholarship. In 2021, he was elected Research Scientist at IERSD/NOA to develop and support atmospheric composition measurement stations. He has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, including 47 journal articles cited over 2100 times (h-index: 22).

 

Research activity: High-resolution atmospheric composition measurements; sensor technologies for real-time air quality spatial monitoring; statistical methods for spatiotemporal characterization and prediction of air pollution; receptor modeling for aerosol source apportionment.
